We are happy to that you chose to participate at the HackYourCoffeeMachine Summerschool 2024. :slight_smile:
This Summerschool will be split into different parts and milestones that will be achieved.
## What is a summerschool?
**Sharing is caring**, this is not only applicable to personal favors, but also to knowledge. In that regard, the Fachhochschule Aachen, the SAMK - Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and the PXL - University of Applied Sciences worked together to share their knowledge about embedded systems, industry 4.0, system architecture and artificial intelligence. To share this knowledge, this summerschool is organized. A week, full of interesting talks, information exchange and learning progress.
## What will be done?
The summerschool is split into two main parts:
1. Self-learning and preparation module prior to the summerschool at SAMK.
2. The main Summerschool part at the SAMK University of Applied Sciences in Pori Finnland. :partying_face:

## How is this guide set up?
This document will guid you through the self-learning and the main modules at SAMK. The workbook contains some special formatted parts to guide you through the tasks and the milestones. Please read these parts really carfully!

## What is the main Goal?
In this interactive workshop, we will dive into the exciting world of non-invasive sensing and energy monitoring, with a practical application example - a coffee machine! Through hands-on experiences, you will learn how to capture, evaluate, and utilize process data for improvement and efficiency gains.

### Languages and Interfaces
The tasks will be realized using two main programming languages:
- C++ to program microcontrollers.
- Python for the artificial intelligence part.
If you don't have a lot of knowledge about these two programming languages, don't worry. Enough self-learning material will be provided to get you on the needed level. :muscle:
